“Summertime, when the living is e a s y!” What a great evening: A party to kick off the start of summer. I am realizing I love planing events just as much as creating the menu and food!
A friend of mine, Sheryl, helped me choose this fabric for the runner. It is simple, fresh and understated. Usually I set my tables with white plates as they become the canvas to the artwork, the food.
Lanterns were the perfect item for the centerpiece as they represent summer so well and give height to the table.
The pink and purple flowers were a lovely accent to the table. Can you believe I got them at D & W, a local grocery store, for $7.99.
The napkins were folded in half and placed underneath each plate.
I designed the menus and printed them on kraft paper to express the casualness of summer.
I scattered shells along the center of the table.
along with tea lights.
The flowers were a perfect touch. D & W receive a shipment of flowers every Thursday night. These lasted for an entire week and still look beautiful after 8 days.
And you can’t beat this back drop of all the different greens and textures!
Guy and I love entertaining!
A perfect summer evening with wonderful guests!
